Ahaha. Thank you for your comment. If only english was my native language and I had some degree maybe I could answer your questions. I write for fun to keep my english alive... and I kinda gave up on trying to have perfect english cause than I would not write at all, endlessly staring at grammarly page :)
As for a hissing... I know what you mean and for a moment I had a choice to do that, but I try to avoid conscious/overthought decisions in my writing. And I like to change of voice... my diaries are like that - I write in first person, third person and whatever in between, jumping from poetic language to dialogue and just records of straight voice in head.
As for hissing - I think its more of a taste/culture matter. Words are totems and images that deeply connect with culture we live in...for me a hissing snake is a sign of a "maya", a a material world that is also God, hence a universe. have you seen images of Vishnu lying on snake or a Shiva with snake over his neck?
