6 Enemies of Creativity and How to Deal with Them.

I wanted to make the title “enemies of creative success” for the clickbait reasons. But I would be dishonest if I hide from you the fact that the idea of “success” is probably your biggest enemy… if it already makes you cringe, maybe this article is not for you.

Without further ado, let us get into it.

Lack of Discipline.

It is said that more than half of life hardship can be overcome with discipline.

When people talk about discipline – usually they talk about habits and their cultivation.

Good discipline breeds good habits, good habits save you from despair, it keeps you sain at times when there is nothing but darkness ahead.

Discipline is that self-illuminating force that almost immediately has results, no matter how significant.

How discipline helps with creative life? For me, it helps achieve a state when you become less and less reliable on inspiration and more and more on your will. In other words, for me, the goal of discipline should be so that the act of creation and state of being inspired becomes one and the same. When one of them is late or too early – the end results always suffer.
