trying to remember…
Whenever I take a photograph, I aim for timelessness in the image — in a sense, I want to be unsure of when the image was taken.
For that — the subject to come alive in the image, it needs to be captured in a certain way. How is this achieved? I don’t know. But it happens sometimes… more often with film than not.
When I succeed, I am not even sure if I took the image. The image speaks a thousand words now… but none of them come to mind at the moment. A feeling of sabi. A fleeting moment of love. A sense of farewell. Straying from the path. Longing for an unknown love.
