Of course the real question is how do you grow as a human being, but for now, let us look at it through a prism of a photography craft.

There was a moment when I asked myself:

Ok, you know how to use a camera and take somewhat good pictures. You got your first page in a magazine that miraculously was featured on Japanese TV. What’s next?

What next? How do you grow?

When I taught in a movie school I used to say that real growth happens in your private time — work is where you put your growth to practice, and as much as its process may be educational, the results are everything on a job and if you happen to learn something from it, then you’re lucky.

Work is easy growth — cause doing work is a common responsibility, growing in your personal time is hard work ーnobody watches over you, you are your own judge.
